I am designing a classifieds ad site and am trying to figure out something. On the page that displays the ad, I would like to have 2 buttons that determine what a buyer would like to do. one button would be a "buy now" and would inform the seller that someone has agreed on their price and wants to buy. At that point the seller would be notified and would click on an accept offer to buy button which would send the buyer all the contact information for the seller and would also send the buyer a rating request. I would also like a "offer" button that would allow buyers to make offers on items that are negotiable in price and the buyer and seller would negotiate back and forth until a final price had been reached. I would need to store all this info in the databse for future reference by the buyers and sellers in case there was a problem with the transaction. I guess my question is how to handle this as far as table design is concerned.
