NASA does not have to make money, that is why we the taxpayer fund them.
Allaire does have to make money and report that to there stock holders, if
they do not make money they will not get more money to fix the product.
Then we are all out of the CF Business.

See you are letting the software train you...

Tell that to the folks who depend on software to
control the space shuttle that determines whether
                they live or die...

Of course.. software is to complicated now a days
guess we will have to tell the NASA people to go
ahead and shut down the space program...

                <G>

Okay okay its a bit cutting and this is not aimed
at anyone specific. I see this mind set often and
believe that it is wrong but most companies get
caught in the beat the competitors to release the
product.. I wont get into the whole debate but its
an interesting way to think about it at any rate...

Oh not to mention the space shuttle is a real time
system that requires a WHOLE lot more programming
knowledge than your typical CF program....

in 5.0 unless
perhaps they win some popularity contest. Is that as absurd
as it sounds or
                is
it just me? Next time my client comes to me and says, hey,
there are 10
                bugs in
the program you wrote, I'll say, well, 10 is a lot, so pick
6 of 'em that
                you
dislike the most and I'll just fix those. Puuuhleeease!

I think it's great. How many companies actually do that?
If you have a
                finite
amount of time, and more bugs than time to fix the bugs, fix
the most
                important
ones first and give us a new version. "All" bugs will never
be
                fixed--software
                is way too complicated nowadays.
