If I am understanding what you are asking, you probably need to use javacast

Subject: Re: Java classes in coldfusion

Sorry for all the newb questions here, but now i am getting "Error casting
an object of type **to an incompatible type".
Which occurs when calling the HTTPcon method. Is there a problem with trying
to pass an array of strings back to coldfusion?
