Tero, thanks for your great tips! I have been just trying to generate multi column with XSLT. But as you mentioned Word is not a cooperative guy. :)
I have already found some tools to design WordML templates but none of them works as I expected. What I do is creating my target document in Word and saving as XML and trying to understand the code.
