Well, yes, you could write a reg. exp. for each of the popular ways of writing 
each of the tags, but it'll be fairly fragile I imagine as web browsers are 
too lenient.
Maybe you could (force) the user to preview their code, then it's their 
fault :-)

I don't understand why if you are just asking the user where the video is and 
if it's YouTube or GVideo, why are you also worried about 
them 'incompletely/partially pasted the tags' ?
