I'm not gonna be much help - but ...

I had a massive HD failure several weeks ago. I had good backups of all
my files and sites (make those backups kids!!!), so I didn't lose any
critical data, but upon having to reinstall all my software, couldn't
find my Dreamweaver or other Studio MX serials.

I've got my original install disks, the original box it came in, even
found the receipts. Serials? Nope, couldn't find 'em anywhere. Obviously
I put them *somewhere* for safe keeping, and forgot where that was!

I reinstalled using trial licenses of everything so I could keep working
and contacted Adobe through their support channels. Took almost a week
to get a reply. They didn't see any registrations from me. Hmmm ...
Wrote back showing proof-of-purchase, and it took them another week -
still no serials and the trial licenses were running out.

More contacts back to Adobe, this time, unanswered. Now I was getting
desperate...

I ended up doing something I thought I'd never do. I had to go, uh,
find, serials on a crack site just to use software I obviously own.
Still no further replies from Adobe.

Same thing with my copy of MS Office. Microsoft never answered a single
support request except to send me "We're not supporting Office 2000
anymore, purchase a new version". Had to locate a serial for that too.

OK, so *NOW* I'm keeping an Excel file on CD of all my serials and
install licenses. Learned the hard way.

Sheesh...
