We are using the product and because we have the source code and have
modifed it (with permission from the author) to suit our needs I'm not that
concerned.

I am interested in the legal position though - who now has rights to the
code?

If anyone has specific support questions - I have a fair bit of experience
in how it works and may be able to help. No promises though!
