I think you probably need to run the batch file in the <coldfusion root>\bin\connectors\ directory to re-install coldlfusion on a global level. You want the file called iis_connector.bat, and you may want to run remove_all_connectors.bat first. This should configure each site you have to properly run under CFMX7. You would be able to re-run this same script form the CFMX6 folder if you needed to revert.
