Did you manually go through every neo-*.xml template to correct all paths there? What exactly do you mean when you say 'hangs'? It doesn't respond at all? It responds slowly? Is it at 100% CPU? Or at 0%? Are there any active database requests? Can you get a stacktrace when it hangs?
