I check my.yahoo.com during lunch, which is what I use for my RSS reader. For other sites I use a program called WebSite-Watcher. It costs around $75, but it will tell you when content has changed and shows a pop-up alert, even if the page doesn't have an RSS feed. The great thing about WebSite-Watcher is that it highlights the new content for you. Definitely worth the money considering the amount of time it saves, at least in my case.
