That's actually quite an interesting statement. I think that there is actually a mindset change required here.
CFEclipse is not an 'editor'. Notepad is an editor, VI is an editor. CFEclipse is an IDE. When I think IDE's, I think Eclipse (obviously), Visual Studio, Jbuilder, Netbeans and the like (those are just the ones I have used). When developing with an IDE, I have yet to see one that isn't project based, since generally you are required to have information on the classpath, and any other things like version targets and the like.
