I won't even bother with your other points (even though some appear to be caused because you don't look in the right place), but I do feel that this mud-slinging deserves a response. The issue with unzipping Eclipse on Windows Vista has nothing to do with the utility that was used to package the Eclipse .zip. The issue is that some files inside the archive have a file path that is so long that the native unzip utility in Windows Vista can not handle it. Using a different utility to zip the files does not change the length of the file paths so that does not solve the problem.
