Just stick the files outside of the webroot then use cfheader and cfcontent to force the downloads.

I just know the minute I ask this i'm going to remember the answer, but .. .. I have a member-only page with some mp3 downloads on it. I want to force them to download rather than attempt to play in the browser. (these users arent very computer savvy and i'd rather not have to teach them right-click except if you're using mac or if the browser is firefox etc etc). How can i force the link to the mp3 to open the save dialog rather than attempt to play it in the browser? -- Cheers Mike Kear Windsor, NSW, Australia Adobe Certified Advanced ColdFusion Developer AFP Webworks http://afpwebworks.com ColdFusion, PHP, ASP, ASP.NET hosting from AUD$15/month ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Macromedia ColdFusion MX7 Upgrade to MX7 & experience time-saving features, more productivity. http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion?sdid=RVJW Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/message.cfm/messageid:283129 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.4
