Randy, >I am not sure I agree with your statement. If I choose to make my >printer friendly page a graphic instead of a standard html table as long >as it still prints fine you would have no recourse. About the only thing >you could do is take your business elsewhere. Right?
Unless you have an agreement that explicitly says otherwise, a client owns their own data. I can see why you want to promote your own services for Export--because it's a way to make more money. However, if you actively do things to make it more difficult for your client to do what they want to do, you're very likely to loose their business. Now, if they're screen scraping data your company owns or provides at a fee, that's a very different issue altogether. Your best bet would be either an image or a PDF. CFMX can help you generate the PDF without too much work using CFDOCUMENT. -Dan ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Deploy Web Applications Quickly across the enterprise with ColdFusion MX7 & Flex 2 Free Trial http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion/flex2/?sdid=RVJU Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/message.cfm/messageid:284063 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4
