The problem looks like XML parser has problems with BOM and without BOM 
it looks like there is not any real solution.

You have right and may be being a new country with a family has some 
more important priorities until setting up everything and having some 
relax. :)

To be honest, when I have some free time I am trying to help some open 
source projects such as Ubuntu etc.
