Just got off the phone with the client. The problem seems to be
intermittent, not just with the  system-i. There are other sub sites
with dashes that have no problems and it seems there are not non-dash
sub sites with the problem. I'm going to try passing session
identifiers by url and see how that works. I just wish this was a
known problem with a known solution. :(
