varScoper looks good, but this page uses cfscript which doesn't work w/ varScooper.
I am currently downloading Java SE 5.0 so I can try out jvmstat. After I download a new version of Java, I assume I need to point coldfusion (through the admin interface) to point to the new instance of java. At that point I should be able to use jvmstat.
