I was looking over the libraries for things like cfmenu and a standard usage of the tag loads something like 200k of javascript. Not something I want to add to House of Fusion. I tried to gzip the files and change the extension to .js but that failed. I assume it is not possible to pre-compress the .js files and the only way to compress them is to use an 'on the fly' compression program. Is this correct? Is there any way to compress the .js without a webserver add-on?
