Dave,

I looked at the three CF services and saw that I was missing some parameters.  
Changed those, based on the entries from the virtual machine, and I still 
crash.  I got a call from another developer in the company who just installed 
CF8 and he is having the exact same problem, so I'm thinking it is something 
else installed on our machines that are causing this.  I'm in the process of 
looking at the dump files to determine what could be causing this.  If I find 
the cause I'll be sure to post the solution here.
