Probably because your registry is too big! You can delete the keys yourself. You don't need to use CF to do this. You can simply delete everything within the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Allaire\ColdFusion\CurrentVersion\Clients You might want to use the command-line REG.EXE tool for this, instead of the Registry Editor.
