Actually, for a date/time field, delete the quotes altogether.

Same for currency, yes/no and number fields. One or more of them (I 
forget which) WORK in Access with single quotes, but if you ever 
upgrade to SQL Server, you'll have to go remove the single quotes 
from all of the above. I found that out the hard way. Best to get in 
the habit of only using single quotes around text and memo fields and 
nothing around the others.
