I am currently working on a small web app and I am struggling with some UI issues.
I have in the past liked to use frames (I know) for the general layout. Here is a simple sample of a layout using frames that I have used in the past: http://demo.thinksys.com/ui/frames/ On this project I wanted to utilize some of the new CF8 AJAX UI tags. So I designed a layout like this: http://demo.thinksys.com/ui/cflayout/ using cflayout. I really like the general layout and the fact that it is asynchronous but I am running into some issue. One major problem I am having now is uploading files (I posted about this). Being that all the forms submit asynchronous cffile does not work. I am also running into some other strange things that are making me rethink this strategy. I guess what I am looking for is some feedback about what other people are doing for UI development. I know that Flex is very popular but I really don't know much about it and have never used it. Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.
