Hi John -

You cannot install ColdFusion 8 or any other version of ColdFusion on Windows 
XP Home as WinXP Home does not come pre-installed with IIS like Windows XP Pro. 
Infact any web dev tool like ASP/.NET that needs IIS running will not work on 
Windows XP Home. There are workarounds 
(http://adamv.com/dev/articles/iis-on-xp-home) but it's too much hassle as 
things can go wrong if you don't know what you're doing, you're better off just 
getting yourself the professional edition of WinXP
