Sorry I should have mentioned that in the initial post. I got the same results which was why I was looking locally and than asked here.
The local stores had the date around Oct 15th so the only thing I can gather so far is that they ship today from Publisher but warehouses wont have it ready to ship til Oct? Local Barnes and Nobles said they could preorder it and have it by Oct and that since it was classified a text book - it wasnt going to be a routinely stocked item.
