Do you have debugging and / or Memory Monitoring switched on? If so, 
switch it off.

If that doesn't help, take a dummy page that just outputs a SELECT 
CURRENT_TIMESTAMP from the database and look how fast that is. If that 
is slow too, put in a cfflush and try to get to that page from telnet 
and see if there is an initial delay or a delay during processing.
