That's been a Dreamweaver issue for a long time.  It doesn't seem to like to
give up control of a file. I have had to close out DW and reopen it before
so I could modify a file on the server.

Yep, I've been grapplin with the same issue the last few days. DW8/Vista

It's so ridiculous, I just ended up saving the files as another name. lol! 

I dunno any other way around it when it decides to screwup like that.
