Scott, I might be too tired to think clearly, so I might be missing your point completely ... but here goes. The major carriers all have an email to text feature. For example, I can CFMAIL to [my phone number including area [EMAIL PROTECTED] and it comes through as text. It's included with your monthly service. That should serve your needs with no additional out of pocket expenses.

And maybe later on, allow users of our app to set up their own alerts for when certain queued up tasks are completed, that sort of thing. No more than a few dozen messages a month.
