Have you checked out Brian Rinaldi's Illudium generator?

Uses db introspection to generate classes, dao, gateway and service
objects, plus some other nifty stuff. Sounds like it might work for you
- it's not part of a framework -- once the objects are generated you can
edit them as needed.
