Thanks for the links. I agree that CF8 helps greatly but the info I was looking for covers recommended settings for things like memory, thread counts and etc. Maybe since there doesn't appear to be anything specific to CF8 yet we should all work together to put something together.
I realize that there are many, many factors that can impact performance tuning from bad code to not enough memory on the server and every iteration between and beyond. The end result should hopefully be something that new CF8 users should find very helpful as well as good info for us CF 'old-timers'. I've been around CF since 1.5 and every release has different tweaks and sometimes huge differences between one version and the next that can impact performance and slightly different interpretations or platform changes that may negate performance benefits from one version to the next. I think an overall recommended best practices guide to configuring the server for best performance and security would be a great asset to have as we continue to bring new CF users into the fold. It would also be valuable to those who have never really given the overall server configuration and settings any thought in the past.
