I said that I found people who had installed and used Debian and CF7. I did not say "lots," and my specific question relates to Xandros, which is based on Debian, but has differences. And the CF install will be CF8. My request was asking about whether anyone had experience with Xandros, and if possible, with CF8 on Debian or Xandros. There are differences among the various software components. You seem to assume that everyone who posts a question is looking to avoid doing work on his/her own. But I will reiterate: there's nothing wrong with asking if others have specific experience in a given situation before exploring possible solutions. I have searched posts in this and other mailing lists, and searched extensively around the Web to see if there is information specific to my questions. Please allow others to answer if they choose.
