@Jerry - I have been trying that way but I am getting an error when the file opens. It says "The file you are trying to open, 'dataFile.xls' is in a different format than specified by the file extension." For some reason it is trying to use the .cfm file.
@Ben - Thanks for the help. I did not realize that excel was an option for cfreport.
