I don't have any such thing.. never have, actually... this worked in
CF7, and I'm told it should still work.

All I'm doing is returning the qry straight up.

I don't know what a value object is or how to use it :)

Yet somehow, Flex already knows that my date column is a date object.

I appreciate your suggestion, I'm hoping to find a simpler solution,
but will head in that direction if no other solution presents itself.

I just don't understand why it's not working when it worked fine with
CF7 - and other people say it works fine with their implementations of
CF8....
