Any experienced consultant and any consulting organization would pay referral fees. Typical referral fees would be in the 10% - 20% range. That is the range I pay in. So if I get a project that results in income of $300,000, I would pay out at least $30,000 to the person who referred the project to me.
The cf-jobs-talk list would be the best place to discuss things like this. Hundreds of ColdFusion consultants on this list all pay referral fees. The cf-talk list would be overwhelmed if all of them decided to make sales pitches, which is one reason the cf-jobs list exists.
