amateurs ;-) if you want GIS functionality use a GIS. have a look at what 
esri's 
public web services has to offer (scroll to the bottom for "routing"):

i have a flashforms example that used the public web services but it uses a 
deprecated webservice version & needs updating (ie it no longer works). the 
newer flex-based stuff is actually nicer anyway:
