Can you show us what you tried? I made a folder with 2 html files and
one doc file. When I went to index in the cf admin, I used this for
extensions:

..htm,.doc

And it worked perfectly. It told me that 3 items were indexed.

I couldn't find the limits in my CF8 pdf, but found this from the CF7
docs. Definitely more than 10k for a 'real' server.
