Yup, dead right (that is what I am missing)! Shocking that I've had that impression for such a long time too. We have always used a mapping when using a components folder inside the app root and I'm quite sure we had a bugger of a time due to the mapping having a typo by the hosting company once which cost us plenty of days! I blame my boss :p The function does still work in the same way that Ben's does if you had a component directory outside of a given project. But in that case the portability argument kinda dies as the app is no longer self contained. Luckily it only took 5 mins out of my day to write that thing. Just for the record, in my ranting, I never railed against ColdSpring and had not looked into it until this morning (although I did say that such programming architecture is not for everyone, that did not include myself) - I am an actor by trade, developer when resting, so my learning curve stops and starts somewhat. But I like to get involved (which makes for some great public mistakes). Anyways, enough already!
