Thanks for that Jaime, I can see how your idea would work. In this case, as a single search result (user profile) is made up of both database records and files it would be great if they could be 'linked' so that Verity could calculate the relevance for a single user based on the contents of both their database *and* their optional attached document.
With your method, passing a userID in a custom field when we index each resource for a user would then allow us to'add up' results for the same user from different sources in our results set - which might be some kind of solution. Seems clunky though. The amount of text in the attached documents isn't huge and is stored in attached file form as a matter of convenience. Could the text be stripped out from the documents and added to a database field. Allowing us to index all information for searching with a single 'key'.
