There are other communities other than just this list. The blogging community, the adobe forums, etc. Not everyone has every hour of the day to read cf-talk due to the sheer volume of emails it pumps out. I know I skim topics myself.
Why don't you just email Pete yourself and ask him what's up? He's a pretty stand-up guy.
