I got this working. Am guessing the issue is with the way you
are trying to fire the onchange event for the textbox.
I posted a couple of entries on my blog, both on firing the onchange
event and on the url bind you are trying to achieve.

I am attempting to bind a url parameter for a cfwindow to a text input
box.
The value for the input box is set programmatically. The first time the
window is displayed it properly binds to the value that has been set in
the
input box (the value is not set at load time, but when a certain
selection
on the page occurs). After the window is closed and the value of the

box is changed (programmatically), and the window is displayed again, it
still has the original value for the url parameter and not the new
value.
As I understand it, the binding occurs at the onchange event of the text
box. I am manually calling the onchange event when the value of the
text
box is assigned, and the function in the onchange event executes so
everything seems ok there. Besides, it binds properly the first time
the
window is displayed so again it shows the onchange event is firing. It
just
does not seem to bind on any subsequent calls to show the window.
However, if I manually type a value into the text box, the binding
occurs
every time the window is displayed. Where am I going wrong here?
