Al right, the problem I was having before was just a sandbox security issue which HostMySite fixed. So again, as Sean suggested I copied my /CFIDE/scripts folder to my web root. I uploaded some code to test the ajaxproxy tag from learncf.com (see http://tutorial13.learncf.com/) and added a cfajaximport tag with the scriptsrc attribute pointing to the scripts directory in my web root. But now, even though I don't get the access error anymore, my ajax calls are just returning "null", even though the code works on my local dev machine.
