Wow, that's a lot of records. Check your ColdFusion logs, but that is probably an out-of-memory error.
This may be a stupid question, but do you have to return all that data on the same page? Can you implement some sort of filtering or paging mechanism? I can't comprehend a user ever needing to load that page and actually wanting to see all 4 millions records worth. That would suck to have to wait for a page like that to load when you really just wanted to verify a particular subset of the security configuration. ~Brad -----Original Message----- From: Joyce Young [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, December 14, 2007 2:46 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: "500 null" due to large amounts of records returned Hello, I need some advice about how to best deal with large amounts of data. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;160198600;22374440;w Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/message.cfm/messageid:294847 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.4
