CF8 has app level mappings and custom tag paths if you can change to that.

I'm helpin a friend with his site at CT. If I place a simple
expandPath("/images") on a page, it gives me a path to another person's
site. Kinda entertaining... for a minute or two.
Anyway, CT tells us CF is mapping the path wrong, and we need to change the
directory name and the path name because it's gettin crossed up. And they
says we need to use a mapping. lol! Too funny!
I guess all the folks with images folders need to change their names?
