I am having the exact same problem with cfexecute as stated above. I'm using
CF8 locally. Same result on two different Windows machines. I am actually using
mencoder, but it's the same as ffmpeg. Command line works fine.

Odd thing is, when I start up my cfadmin (or stop the CF service altoghethe),
the conversion process mysteriously begins to work. It's almost like there's a
hidden lock on the file and running cfadmin releases the lock??

Also, one thing I noticed with debug is that CF puts the uploaded file into a
temporary folder before it moves it to the folder I specify. Could this have
something to do with it?

I am clueless and looking for workarounds. By the way, I've seen the threads
and other blog posts about using java inside ColdFusion. So I decided to use
this one http://tomdeman.com/blog/2007/9/10/FFMPEG-and-ColdFusion and created a
function.

I get the exact same result. Video either converts about 2 seconds worth, or
else nothing at all. So using the java workaround isn't working. Thoughts?

Is this a cfexecute bug? Thanks.
