This thread has prompted me to start thinking about building a CRM,
and maybe making it my first open source project. (I've been too
timid to let others poke around in my code before - time to come out
into the daylight and learn, I think)>

Apart from the obvious .... customer name and address records, and a
means of messaging them in groups or singly ... what else is needed
in a good CRM?

If we can settle on a good feature list, then perhaps we can open a
community project. Would anyone be prepared to work with me to make
one?

I would build it with CFCs, using what I hope is OO techniques and
coldspring to bolt it all together.

Cheers
