I just turned our site secure (CF 4.0.1 on iPlanet on Solaris). I expected everything to go smoothly as I had the necessary certificate, had tested the server in encrypted mode, etc. Now several little but user-significant problems are cropping up, and all appear to be due to dealing with Internet Explorer feature/bugs. This doesn't happen to the big boys - banks, credit cards - so where should I go to get good info on getting my secure site up to speed? thanks, Chris Norloff the specifics: 1. Go back two pages and IE says "page has a mix of secure & non-secure items". Not true, the "non-secure" stuff is just an IE internal error message saying one page in the frame needs to be updated - in the Microsoft Knowledgebase they admit this is not a security alert. But a user would think so ... 2. The padlock (Secure Indicator) goes off. IE feature/bug- it doesn't recognize a javascript call to a secure server as secure, so turns off the padlock. Again, in the Microsoft Knowledgebase they admit the connection is still secure ... but not to a user ... and on and on ... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Structure your ColdFusion code with Fusebox.
