I think Rick means qmail, with a q: http://www.qmail.org/ And I'd recommend qmail as well, if you need a good SMTP server. I'm using sendmail now, because my hosting provider had that set up, but I used qmail when we had an SMTP server on our network. I think qmail is much nicer than sendmail.
