I bet it's even simpler. Is BIG IP only balancing .htm, .cfm requests? I'd be willing to wager it is. What I have our developers do (before we moved to Windows NFS to sync up the file systems), if the spreadsheet is generated on the fly, is use CFCONTENT to steam the file to the browser instead of pulling it off the filesystem.
