I don't know that he wants to actually convert the values. If there's an event at the Hammersmith Apollo in London which costs 20£ per ticket, he just wants it to display it as that to anyone, anywhere.
Like maybe I just setup a table for the different currency options, then display the appropriate character they selected to associate with the ticket price.
