I've seen this before. It appears to be a bit buggy still. I closed my server monitor window, went back into it from the button in the CF Admin, and the monitoring had been stopped. Similar issues trying to activate as well. Which Hotfix are you on? (I've noticed this more on Hotfix 2 installs over Hotfix 3)
