'Why don't you just...' can usually be replaced with 'This is how... and look this up in google to find out why / more (or some such)'. 'Why would you want to do that?!' can usually be replaced with 'If you're doing [x] I'd advise against it because... consider doing [y] instead'. Anyways, now I'm the one wasting bandwidth!
